2. Terms of Use
2.1 Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the game Fields of Fortune distributed via Steam, including the optional online score feature "Seasons".
2.2 Use of the Game
Upon purchasing the game, the user is granted the right to use the game for private purposes within the limits of applicable law.
2.3 Optional Online Score Feature "Seasons"
The game includes a voluntary online feature called "Seasons" for validation and display of player scores.
- No entitlement to permanent server availability
- No entitlement to storage or publication of a specific score
- Online features may be modified or discontinued at any time
2.4 Manipulation
Any technical manipulation of the game or data transmission intended to influence player scores is prohibited.
2.5 Liability
Liability shall be governed by the applicable statutory provisions. In cases of slight negligence, the provider shall only be liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties) and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.
Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.
2.6 Applicable Law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

3.2 Processed Data
In connection with the optional online score feature, the following data is processed:
- SteamID (unique account identifier)
- Submitted score
- Timestamp of submission
IP addresses are not actively stored.
3.3 Purpose of Processing
Data processing is carried out exclusively for:
- Validation of player scores
- Ensuring a fair competitive environment
- Displaying rankings and leaderboards
3.4 Legal Basis
The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest lies in operating and protecting the integrity of the online score feature.
3.5 Data Retention
Data is stored as long as the online score feature is operated or until deletion is requested, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
3.6 Data Sharing
Data will not be shared with third parties. If a hosting provider is used, processing is carried out under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.
3.7 Data Subject Rights
Data subjects have the right to:
- Access stored data
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure of data
- Restriction of processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
